About The Position

A Michigan consulting firm specializing in facility projects is hiring a Landscape Architect for its office in the northwestern Detroit market. The role includes project management and design responsibilities, with involvement in projects from planning and design through completion. The Landscape Architect will contribute to the design team by planning, scheduling, and coordinating technical project work; preparing project plans, documents, and reports; communicating about and resolving technical issues; and presenting and explaining designs. The role also includes reviewing and responding to construction RFIs and submittals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Landscape Architecture.
• At least 3 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of site grading concepts.
• Knowledge of code compliance requirements and industry standards, and of design areas and methods.
• Experience with schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
• Proficiency with relevant drafting and design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Sports and recreation design experience, including athletic fields.
