Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited school and 4+ years as a registered architect or 8 years of experience in Landscape Architecture with a current registration.
  • Professional Landscape Architectural License (PLA) required.
  • Travel required on an as-needed basis.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, photo editing software, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and working with and leading a team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the site design from start to finish and manage the production of construction documents in accordance with laws and regulations.
  • Lead a small team and engage in business development for the landscape architecture service line.
  • Meet with external and internal project stakeholders (i.e., clients and project managers) to understand the requirements of a project, including goals, timelines, and budgets.
  • Prepare proposals for client and project needs.
  • Lead and manage architectural projects, including the preparation of design concepts, design development, estimates, and construction documentation, including specifications, materials, equipment, and estimated costs.
  • Perform contract administration or construction administration, including RFIs, shop drawings, pay application review, site observations, and / or final site SF verification surveys.
  • Serve as a mentor and guide to designers and co-op’s.
  • Review the work of others and provide feedback and / or redlines.
  • Work with the quality control team to provide reviews and comments.
  • Responsible for the team’s quality of work and productivity.
  • Other duties as assigned.
