As part of our Design + Planning Team in Charlotte, you’ll work closely with Landscape Architects, Project Managers, and Professional Engineers to support the design and technical execution of projects. This role is ideal for a licensed, early-career professional ready to transition into greater responsibility, contribute to project delivery, and continue developing technical expertise and professional confidence. Gain hands-on experience contributing to landscape architecture projects from concept through construction. Strengthen technical expertise in design development, documentation, and regulatory coordination. Work alongside experienced professionals while building confidence in licensed practice. Play an active role in producing high-quality deliverables and supporting project success. Hybrid schedule - about 3–4 days a week in the office.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience
  • Licensed Landscape Architect
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited school, or equivalent experience
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil3D, Geopak, and/or related technical software
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Proficiency in SketchUp or other modeling software
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong understanding of site design, grading, planting, and construction documentation
  • Ability to translate design concepts into coordinated, buildable plans
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance / quality control standards
  • Working knowledge of zoning, codes, accessibility, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with internal teams and consultants
  • Experience tracking tasks, budgets, and schedules with Project Manager oversight
  • Ability to take initiative, communicate proactively, and contribute to a collaborative team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting client meetings and agency coordination
  • Experience delegating or guiding junior staff on production tasks
  • Familiarity with QA/QC processes and plan review standards
