About The Position

Freese and Nichols has an opportunity for December 2025 and May/August 2026 new graduates to launch their careers as Landscape Architect Designers. This role offers a supportive pathway for career growth in areas such as design, modeling, planning, technical excellence, and business development. The position involves assisting project managers through all project phases, from site inventory and analysis to design development, construction documents, and post-design services. The designer will collaborate with design teams, including planners, engineers, architects, and clients, and will prepare digital and hand drawings to communicate master plans, design elements, and site features. Responsibilities also include conducting research, preparing site reviews and analysis, learning and expanding proficiencies in key programs and software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Suite), and assisting in the preparation of construction document packages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture (Current grad or those graduating in May 2026 or August 2026)
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suite and modeling programs such as SketchUp and Lumion

Responsibilities
