Landscape Account Manager

Mariani LandscapeAtlanta, GA
$75,000 - $90,000

About The Position

Galbraith is seeking an experienced Landscape Account Manager to serve as the primary relationship manager for a select portfolio of high-end residential and estate clients. This position goes beyond traditional landscape account management. Our Account Managers are expected to understand each property, anticipate client needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and coordinate with our internal teams to ensure every property consistently reflects the Galbraith standard. The Account Manager will build trusted, long-term relationships with homeowners, estate managers, landscape architects, designers, and other property representatives while ensuring exceptional execution of ongoing landscape maintenance, horticultural services, and property enhancements. Success in this role requires a combination of relationship management, horticultural knowledge, attention to detail, proactive communication, and strong business judgment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in landscape account management, horticulture, landscape production, luxury residential services, or a related client-facing role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance practices, plant material, horticulture, turf care, pruning, irrigation, and landscape installation.
  • Experience working with high-end residential properties, estate properties, or discerning clientele strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop trusted relationships with clients.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize landscape and property issues that may not be immediately obvious to the client.
  • Ability to confidently walk a property and discuss landscape conditions, recommendations, priorities, and solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple properties, client requests, proposals, and internal follow-up simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with field crews, managers, horticultural professionals, designers, and administrative teams.
  • Ability to provide clear direction and constructive feedback while maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for working with luxury residential clientele.
  • Ability to balance exceptional client service with the financial and operational goals of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned residential and estate clients, providing a consistent and highly responsive client experience.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of each property, including the client’s expectations, preferences, priorities, and long-term vision for the landscape.
  • Conduct regular property walks and proactively identify horticultural concerns, maintenance needs, seasonal priorities, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicate with clients regularly rather than waiting for a problem or request to arise.
  • Provide thoughtful recommendations and professional guidance regarding the care and improvement of the property.
  • Respond promptly to client questions, concerns, and service requests and ensure appropriate follow-through.
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships through professionalism, discretion, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a strong presence on assigned properties and ensure landscape services consistently meet the high standards.
  • Perform routine quality-control inspections and communicate expectations and corrective actions to the appropriate production teams.
  • Work closely with Crew Leaders, Maintenance Managers, Horticulture, Irrigation, Enhancements, and other departments to ensure client expectations are clearly understood and executed.
  • Identify issues before they become client concerns and coordinate appropriate solutions.
  • Monitor plant health, turf conditions, irrigation performance, seasonal color, pruning, bed conditions, cleanliness, and overall property presentation.
  • Ensure client requests and property-specific details are clearly documented and communicated to field teams.
  • Follow through on open items until they are fully resolved.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and enhance client properties through proactive recommendations.
  • Develop enhancement opportunities involving planting, seasonal color, drainage, irrigation, landscape improvements, horticultural services, and other property needs.
  • Prepare and present professional proposals, renewals, contracts, work orders, and change orders.
  • Maintain existing account revenue while identifying appropriate opportunities to expand services.
  • Approach sales as an extension of trusted client service—recommending work because it benefits the property, not simply to generate additional revenue.
  • Assist with new client opportunities, property evaluations, presentations, and onboarding when appropriate.
  • Maintain the “One Point of Contact” approach for assigned clients while effectively coordinating resources behind the scenes.
  • Maintain accurate client records, property notes, proposals, sales activity, service requests, and communication history.
  • Ensure important client preferences and property-specific requirements are documented and communicated internally.
  • Coordinate with administrative, accounting, production, horticulture, irrigation, and enhancement teams as necessary.
  • Monitor proposals, approved work, scheduling, billing, and accounts receivable for assigned clients.
  • Participate in internal account reviews and planning meetings to ensure upcoming property needs are anticipated and addressed.
