About The Position
The Landman sources and negotiates leases and acquisitions at or under budget. The position requires strong title review and title curative skills, communication and negotiation abilities, and experience working with mapping and GIS software. The role also uses business intelligence tools such as Spotfire and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of in-house oil and gas experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Extensive experience in title review and lease/acquisition negotiations.
- Exposure to working with Rockies assets and Federal Lands; Wyoming experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Exposure to Spotfire or other business intelligence tools.
- Proficiency in mapping and associated GIS software.
- Excellent skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Nice To Haves
- A major in Energy Management or a related field is preferred.
- RPL or CPL designation is a plus.
