About The Position

This position performs a variety of general labor duties and operates equipment related to solid waste collection and landfill operation. The selected individual will operate scales, collect fees and direct customers to the appropriate area of disposal sites. The individual will also safely operate compactors compressing debris deposited by users of the transfer station. This position is full-time and benefit-earning.

Requirements

Graduated high school or received GED
Working knowledge of mechanics and equipment operation
Ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting 75 pounds regularly
Safe driving history
Possess a Class B CDL or have the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment

Responsibilities

Provide service to customers, ensuring their needs are met and questions answered.
Screen loads to ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
Maintain accurate cash till; ensure accuracy in reporting.
Run, maintain, and assist in repairing baler and ensure safe operation of equipment.
