About The Position

Requirements

Ability to follow established procedures with minimal supervision
Coachable and able to learn safe landfill navigation
Willingness to work outdoors for most of the day
Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks
Provide on-call response to gas collection system
Experience with hand and power tools
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to collect, interpret, and draw conclusions from data

Experience with leachate collection systems

Responsibilities

Perform routine system inspections and repairs on the landfill
Work with Lead Landfill Gas Technician to ensure compliance
Maintain relationships with landfill employees, consultants, and vendors
Use gas analyzer to monitor gas wells and probes
Perform maintenance on pneumatic pumps, including removal, inspection, and repairs
Monitor liquid levels in gas wells
