About The Position

LRI 304th St. Landfill, a Waste Connections company, is seeking a Landfill Gas Technician in Graham, Washington. This full-time, year-round position supports landfill gas operations and environmental sustainability. The role involves operating and maintaining landfill gas collection systems, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting equipment, coordinating with contractors, and completing compliance and safety reporting. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with monthly or occasional Saturdays. Starting pay is $25.00–$27.00 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
1 to 2 years of experience in industrial process control; landfill gas collection systems experience is preferred.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to stand outdoors for up to 10-hour shifts.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, including marijuana, an MVR review, and a background check.

Nice To Haves

Experience troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic pumps.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain landfill gas collection systems, including vertical wells, condensate collection, monitoring stations, and pneumatic pumps.
Regularly monitor well fields, perimeter wells, pump stations, and leachate levels to improve collection efficiency.
Balance extraction wells and perform maintenance and minor repairs.
Maintain landfill gas control plants, flare units, and leachate control systems.
Escort and coordinate with third-party contractors.
Prepare and submit compliance, operational, and safety reports.
