About The Position

Requirements

• Ability to follow established procedures with minimal supervision
• Coachable and able to learn safe landfill navigation
• Willingness to work outdoors for most of the day
• Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks
• Provide on‑call response to the gas collection system
• Experience with hand and power tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to collect, interpret, and draw conclusions from data
• Veterans are encouraged to apply

Nice To Haves

• Experience with leachate collection systems

Responsibilities

• Perform routine system inspections and repairs on the landfill
• Work with the Lead Landfill Gas Technician to ensure compliance
• Maintain relationships with landfill employees, consultants, and vendors
• Use gas analyzers to monitor gas wells and probes
• Perform maintenance on pneumatic pumps, including removal, inspection, and repairs
• Monitor liquid levels in gas wells
• Perform HDPE pipe fusion
