About The Position
Advanced Spade Company develops hardware, software, and operational tools for utility undergrounding. We make maps, navigation, and construction tools by using these tools in the field everyday. We're finding some balance between "the way it's always been done" and "a better way to do it." Data collection, tool placement, even quality-of-life (you'll get an e-bike) e.g. - tripod quick leveler, battery hot-swaps, mobile and desktop software built FOR you.
Requirements
- California licensed land surveyor (PLS)
Responsibilities
- Work with our Factory Team locators to generate stamped as-built's & site plans.
- Work with our hardware and software teams to ensure accurate, thorough data collection & analysis.
- Work with customers to ensure all data provided meets the highest quality/clarity.
- Work with hardware/software/field teams to make sick tools.
- Make collection, analysis, and verification tools seamless and reliable.
- Hack hardware/software to collect more data.
- Represent the punk movement of industry & regulatory groups - advocate for open maps, data, standards, and tools.
- Hire, train, and coach technicians, LSITs - get kids excited about surveying.
