The P TS STRUCTURAL Department of the H ENGINEERING Division at Hawaiian Electric Company has 1 Management vacancy available. (Role: Non-Exempt). This posting seeks to fill at either the Land Surveyor I or Land Surveyor II level; whichever level is most suited to the qualifications of the applying candidate. The Land Surveyor I performs advanced professional work required in land surveying, directing field surveys to include locating land boundaries, layout facilities for construction projects, easement staking, topographic surveys, utility surveys, and other related HECO surveying services. They conduct studies, perform calculations and prepare documents to determine land titles, ownership and descriptions of land in connection with capital construction projects, customer projects, general operations and facilities of Hawaiian Electric Company (HECO, MECO and HELCO). They also oversee mapping done by outside survey consultants and direct the field work of Transit Technician and Survey Rod Helper. The Land Surveyor II performs similar advanced professional work in land surveying, directing field surveys, conducting studies, performing calculations, and preparing documents related to land titles and descriptions. They also oversee mapping by outside consultants and direct field crews. Additionally, the Land Surveyor II provides occasional training to other survey personnel in the use of current survey equipment and instruments and safety procedures, and understands the Company’s Policies, Mission, Vision, Values, and culture dimensions.
