About The Position

Allworld Project Management (AWPM) is an Engineering & Construction Project Management Firm on a mission “to exceed client's expectations by delivering value added solutions one task at a time.” We are looking to add a Land Survey Technician to our dynamic team. AWPM is based in Downtown Memphis, TN, with offices in Houston, TX and Birmingham, AL. This position is full-time onsite in Memphis, TN at the various project locations. The Land Survey Technician plays an important role in the construction industry by providing accurate and precise measurements that inform project planning and execution. This position involves conducting boundary and topographic surveys, ensuring that all data collected meets the necessary legal and regulatory standards. The technician will work closely with field and office surveyors. This role will be responsible for providing accurate information, operating survey instruments and data processing. By utilizing advanced surveying equipment and techniques, the technician will contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the project. Ultimately, the technician's work ensures that projects are built on solid foundations, both literally and figuratively. This position is full-time onsite in Memphis, TN at various project sites.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of field surveying practices and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using surveying instruments such as total stations and GPS.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Deliver high-quality work that adheres to established standards and aligns with project requirements.
  • Possess written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Maintain budget adherence by effectively managing resources.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and sufficient driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, adjust, and operate various survey equipment, including electronic total station, data collector, GNSS equipment, and level.
  • Perform field surveying for various survey projects.
  • Utilize total stations and other surveying instruments to collect accurate data.
  • Conduct boundary surveys to determine property lines and easements.
  • Assist in construction staking to ensure proper placement of structures.
  • Prepare detailed survey reports and documentation for project stakeholders.
