Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent; with a preference for an Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering Technology from a U.S. accredited college or university
At least 1 year of experience in utility locating, surveying, or related fieldwork
Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, engineering plans, and specifications
Understanding of utility systems, including water, sewer, gas, electric, and telecommunications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Applicable U.S. based work experience

Nice To Haves

familiarity with GIS, CAD, or other mapping/design tools is a plus

Responsibilities

Request underground utility markings
Coordinate marking authorities’ responses, including quality check of plans and onsite verification.
Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to add utility locations to scale on land surveys and plans
Operate raSmith equipment to mark private utilities and field data collection locations with GPS.
Quality check surveys and plans for utility accuracies
Provide occasional assistance on Survey field crews
Other duties as assigned.
