Requirements

  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to travel as needed for projects, team meetings and overnight stays to support out-of-town work.
  • MVR records check verifying a valid driver’s license and a driving record which meets the requirements of SEH’s Driving Program.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in basic surveying procedures including boundary / land surveys, topographic surveys, construction staking methods using Total Stations and Global Positioning Systems (GPS).
  • Experience in drafting, completing computations and an understanding of plans and easement descriptions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to walk and climb over rough terrain and carry up to 50 pounds and withstand working outside for up to 8-12 hours in varying temperatures.
  • Field experience with Trimble Survey Equipment.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Trimble Business Center and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the completion of field surveys on a variety of types of projects.
  • Assist with data reduction, digital terrain modeling / surface creation, and preparation of right-of-way plats, certified survey maps and boundary surveys as well as many other types of survey documents.
  • Provide technical assistance with writing and interpretation of easement descriptions.
  • Conduct courthouse research to gather property information.
