Our team is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Instrument Operator to join us on a long-term government agency project supporting operations throughout New York and New Jersey, reporting daily to Newark, NJ. Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience performing boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction stakeout surveys.
Experience using robotic total stations and Leica scanning equipment.
Flexible availability to accommodate overnight projects.
Strong math and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with computers and electronic data collection equipment.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Willingness to travel as needed for project assignments.
Strong work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Willingness to work overtime when required.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Nice To Haves

Associate's Degree or higher.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 40 Certification.
TWIC or SWAC Certification.
Familiarity with AutoCAD.
Experience operating a Leica P40 Scan Station.

Responsibilities

Perform all phases of surveying field work including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction layout, and as-built surveys.
Operate Leica or Trimble robotic total stations and data collectors.
Complete field calculations, sketches, and survey documentation.
Download, compile, and organize field data.
Maintain and care for all survey equipment.
Ensure quality control standards are met on every project.
Work overnight shifts when project requirements dictate.
Obtain and maintain OSHA 10 or OSHA 40 certification, as well as TWIC and SWAC credentials required for the government agency project.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
