About The Position

Idaho Power is looking for a Land Rights Professional to join their Corporate Services and Communications team in Boise, Idaho. This role is crucial for providing safe, reliable, and affordable energy to communities in Idaho and Oregon. The Land Rights Professional will manage Idaho Power’s real estate properties and interests with minimal oversight, adhering to real estate practices and procedures. They will serve as a liaison between internal/external stakeholders and governmental agencies, coordinating for timely and quality execution of work while optimizing financial impact. The role involves representing the company in negotiations for real estate transactions (purchase, exchange, sale, lease) and providing expertise on property holdings, entitlements for easements/licenses/leases, land use authorizations, and right-of-way agreements. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business, planning, or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
5 years of real estate experience.
2 years of complex negotiation and acquisition work.
Knowledge of property descriptions and land surveys.
Knowledge of appraisals.
Knowledge of property ownership and conveyance.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations associated with real estate transactions.
Knowledge of general application of GIS, GPS, and public land survey system.
Skills in oral and written communication and presentation.
Advanced computer skills.
Ability to conduct public relations and negotiation.
Ability to manage projects.
Ability to resolve conflicts.
Ability to interpret legal documents.
Ability to communicate effectively with varied audiences.
Ability to troubleshoot and recommend solutions.
Ability to provide accurate information to help individuals make informed decisions.
Ability to demonstrate professional presence with all levels of company and external entities.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

SR/WA certification.

Responsibilities

Manage Idaho Power’s real estate properties and interests with minimal oversight, adhering to acceptable real estate practices and procedures.
Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders and governmental agencies, coordinating for timely and quality execution of work while seeking the best financial impact for Idaho Power.
Represent the company in negotiations for purchase, exchange, sale, or lease of real estate.
Provide expertise on real estate matters including property holdings, entitlements for easements, licenses, leases, land use authorizations, and right of way agreements and negotiations.
