About The Position

TRC is seeking a Land Manager to oversee a program of projects. The ideal candidate will be regionally located to regularly report into client offices. This role involves implementing project plans, managing project teams, and collaborating within TRC to develop effective execution strategies. Operating at a higher organizational level, the Land Manager will coordinate multiple project managers to ensure a consistent program message across various projects. Strong leadership, management, and collaboration skills aligned with TRC's core values are essential. This role reports directly to the Land Director.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 6 years of project management experience.

  • PMP certification.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate directly with the Client Representative and the Director, Field Services to report Land progress, outlining problems and proposing resolutions for issues impeding project completion.
  • Create and manage project budgets, manage to budgets, and reforecast monthly.
  • Manage and oversee a portfolio of projects.
  • Utilize TRC and client technology to effectively manage projects.
  • Ensure consistent messaging to all stakeholders across projects.
  • Responsible for risk assessment, mitigation, and corrective action plans.
  • Oversee all overall project Land activities.
  • Identify negative trends and problem issues, implementing resolutions to reduce or eliminate adverse impacts on overall performance.
  • Perform regular risk analysis.
  • Review Land requirements and develop a written Execution Plan for implementing necessary activities.
  • Ensure all Land personnel are oriented to the project, including planning, schedules, policies, guidelines, procedures, safety, emergency response, and quality assurance.
  • Assign tasks to Land personnel and explain documentation requirements.
  • Provide and explain the proper completion, distribution, and timing for submittal of document, record, and report forms.
  • Monitor personnel performance, documentation completion, conduct, and work ethics to identify trends and provide guidance, coaching, motivation, or discipline as necessary.
  • Approve all Land personnel time and expenses.
  • Monitor overall Land tasks for compliance with project requirements.
  • Identify changes in work scope and variances in schedule or budgeted costs.
  • Implement and document necessary actions to incorporate work changes and maintain progress schedules and budgeted costs.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to all project land staff, including survey, title, acquisition, document and administrative staff, non-environmental permitting, and construction support, ensuring project commitments and goals are met.
  • Report progress to the client through daily, weekly, and monthly status reports.
  • Release assigned personnel upon completion of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Complete a Personnel Performance Evaluation form for all Land personnel upon completion of their assignment.
  • Perform complex negotiations and other job responsibilities as assigned.
