Land Development Project Engineer
About The Position
Benesch is a growing, multi-disciplined planning, engineering, and professional services firm that enhances infrastructure and communities across the country. They are looking for candidates with varied backgrounds and worldviews, committed to an inclusive work environment. This specific role is for a Project Engineer to join their Site Development team in North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with land development projects and comprehensive knowledge of developing plans in accordance with NCDOT and surrounding local county development standards. This position will report to their Charlotte office 3 days a week.
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of diverse and progressive site development experience
- Licensed PE in the state of NC
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience working with public agencies, private entities and/or municipalities
- Progressive experience with developing plans specifications, and submissions per development regulatory standards and requirements
- Excellent communication and client relation skills
- Strong organization skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules
- Ability to work independently and develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner
Nice To Haves
- Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater modeling software preferred
Responsibilities
- Create and execute project work plans
- Interacting with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders
- Represent Benesch at industry and professional engagement events
