About The Position

Verdantas is seeking a Land Development Engineer III to support our growing team in Wilmington, DE. As a Land Development Engineer III, you'll work with multidisciplinary design teams and support high-impact site development projects across Delaware. Your work will span site layouts and grading, stormwater management and erosion control, water and wastewater utility design, and permitting. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
  • 4-10 years of experience in land development civil-site engineering design
  • Professional Engineering License required
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD
  • Familiarity with Civil 3D
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD SSA or other stormwater modeling software
  • Knowledge of green infrastructure practices, such as bioretention systems, permeable pavement, infiltration systems, and green roofs
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Candidate should be a critical thinker, be willing to learn through trial and error, be self-motivated, and be willing to put the full effort towards the task at hand
  • Candidates should have a strong desire to grow and advance as engineers or technical designers

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with technical and civil engineering design
  • Perform technical engineering work associated with land development: Stormwater management design, Site grading and utility design, Erosion and sedimentation control design
  • Prepare plans for agency/municipal review
  • Complete various land development and environmental permitting applications
  • Attend meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractors
