About The Position

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a creative, team-oriented, and motivated Civil
Engineer to join our growing land development team in the Orlando office.
The position will be responsible for CAD design, assisting in developing engineering
reports, calculations, and design for Civil / Land Development projects
including construction administration support. This is not a remote or hybrid
position.

Requirements

• Possesses foundational engineering concepts through undergraduate-level education.
• Acquires basic knowledge and develops basic skills through mentored experience.
• Applies learned knowledge and skills to perform assigned tasks. Performs routine technical work which does not require previous experience.
• Understands and complies with ethical codes.
• 2+
• B.S. Engineering or other technical degree
• Driver’s License
• Collects data and gathers information or documents.
• Participates in laboratory testing and field investigations.
• Performs basic computations or analysis.
• Assists with the preparation of engineering deliverables.
• Observe construction activities.
• Responsible for personal task management and adherence to deadlines and scope.
• No managerial responsibilities at this level.
• Receives close supervision on all aspects of assignments.
• Attains mentored experience from a licensed engineer.
• Possesses basic oral and written communication skills.
• Identifies and acknowledges principles of teamwork and leadership.
• Interacts primarily with internal project team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Civil Engineering design and calculations for water, wastewater, and stormwater components of Land Development projects.
• Participates in technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications, and technical plans.
• Filling out and completing permit applications for processing.
• Construction administration support including field observation reports.
• Prepare plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
