Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering or related degree
  • 3-5+ years of increasing engineering experience
  • EIT licensure preferred or have passed the FE Exam
  • Proficient in the following: AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, MS Office
  • Proficient in site layout, grading, utility design and stormwater management
  • Experience in developing and compiling/producing site plans, construction documents, specifications, and engineering reports
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work for VHB in the U.S. without employer sponsorship either now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Willingness to learn implementation of integrated services projects in a team with multidisciplinary skills.
  • Knowledge of land development construction including codes and development regulations
  • Innovative design skills to develop solutions to complex projects.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with GIS Systems is a plus – GIS is one of the tools we use to create better projects.

Responsibilities

  • Work within a team of professionals to develop site civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of land development projects.
  • Train and mentor junior staff on technical aspects and policies
  • Assist Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers with managing and delegating tasks, forecasting and proactively addressing workload and staffing needs, while collaborating with clients and teammates across the organization
