About The Position

We are seeking a Land Data Analyst to support a large-scale data conversion initiative in Houston, TX – In-Office. This role is responsible for entering, verifying, and maintaining critical land document data while ensuring accurate spatial alignment with GIS parcel boundaries. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of pipeline land records, legal descriptions, and land database systems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in land records administration, management, and documentation specifically for pipeline systems.
  • Demonstrated experience correctly interpreting, plotting, and mapping land-related legal descriptions, plats, alignment sheets, and surface ownership maps.
  • Clear understanding of basic land title concepts and essential terms within various land agreements (easements, permits, deeds, ordinances, and assignments).
  • Hands-on experience with Quorum data products.
  • Proficiency with GIS software (ESRI products), Google Earth, and deed plotting software.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite with a strong concentration on Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • High degree of analytical ability with acute attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a proven ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
  • In-office presence in Houston, TX is required and non-negotiable.

Responsibilities

  • Review alignment maps to identify pipeline assets and associated surface/grantor details.
  • Plot legal descriptions using deed plotting software and tie digital land agreements directly to corresponding GIS parcel data and as-built alignment sheets.
  • Audit and update the land database (specifically Quorum/On Demand Land) to guarantee the accuracy of Grantor/Grantee information, recording details, property descriptions, affected assets, and tract provisions.
  • Review, categorize, and organize complex land records—including pipeline easements, real property leases, deeds, permits, and ordinances—ensuring digital files align consistently with physical and mapped assets.
  • Conduct basic title reviews and perform quality control across digital and physical land files, assisting the broader team with ad-hoc land record projects as assigned.
