About The Position
We are actively hiring for the position of Laminator Operator for our plant in Van Nuys, CA. This role involves operating D&K lamination machines, ensuring quality output, and adhering to production schedules. The operator will be responsible for setting up, monitoring, and maintaining the lamination process, as well as performing basic maintenance and adhering to safety procedures. Collaboration with other production teams is essential for a smooth workflow.
Requirements
- Experience operating lamination or finishing equipment (D&K experience preferred).
- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read job tickets and follow detailed instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift materials as required.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or weekends if needed.

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate D&K lamination machines (thermal and/or pressure-sensitive).
- Load and align films, rolls, and printed sheets correctly.
- Adjust machine settings such as temperature, speed, and pressure based on job specifications.
- Monitor lamination process to ensure smooth operation and consistent output.
- Inspect laminated products for defects such as bubbles, wrinkles, misalignment, or uneven coating.
- Ensure lamination meets customer specifications and company quality standards.
- Identify and report quality issues immediately and take corrective action when possible.
- Follow job tickets, work orders, and production schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, waste, and downtime.
- Meet productivity targets while minimizing material waste.
- Coordinate with printing, cutting, and finishing teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
- Identify mechanical issues and notify maintenance or supervisors as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of hot surfaces and moving parts.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
