The Laminator Operator is responsible for the set-up and operation of their designated machine, ensuring the accuracy and quality of the product being produced. The operator is also responsible for training new employees. This role requires adherence to all safety procedures, including PPE, ergonomics, and chemical hazard awareness, to protect the health and safety of all employees. The operator must read and understand job jackets/orders, establish and follow quality checking procedures, and communicate effectively with supervisors, oncoming shifts, and management. Responsibilities include cleanup, assisting in job set-up (loading rolls, cutting cores), cleaning the laminator and its area, and staying productive when the machine is down. Effective communication involves making proper computer entries and following the chain of command. The operator is responsible for compliance with all regulatory, facility food safety, and quality policies and procedures, including product safety (GMPs).
