About The Position

SEKISUI Aerospace is continuing to grow and is currently accepting applications for upcoming 1st Shift Laminator I needs at their Sumner location. The Laminator performs a variety of techniques to laminate composite components according to drawings and Standard Work Instruction (SWI). Responsibilities include Lay-up composite materials on mandrels according to the manufacturing plan and standard work instructions (SWI); wrap mold with composite materials, in preparation for curing process, to form composite parts. The role also involves checking for accuracy in all prior documentation of manufacturing planning, reporting discrepancies and schedule concerns to the supervisor, verifying materials used are according to the manufacturing plan, and verifying the part ID tag and signing off on work performed. Adherence to schedules and time allowances, including takt time, for production requirements is essential.

Requirements

  • One year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience in composite manufacturing a plus
  • Ability to read and understand detailed instructions and follow demonstrated steps
  • Basic understanding of process specifications
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Must meet (ITAR) export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
