About The Position

The Laminator Assistant performs a variety of tasks to support operations and reports to laminator supervisors. This is a full-time, hourly position on either the 2nd shift (3pm - 11pm) or 3rd shift (11pm - 7am), Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow plant safety, quality, and product safety rules and procedures.
  • Willingness to assist operators with roll preparation for splices and order changes.
  • Capability to perform other crew member duties during break periods.
  • Ability to work with associates to change flute rolls.
  • Willingness to assist with daily machine cleaning.
  • Ability to prepare top sheets for the manufacturing process.
  • Willingness to empty waste containers in the laminator department.
  • Ability to train on and learn all laminator crew positions.
  • Willingness to help clean machine components.
  • Ability to unload rollstock from rail cars and trucks.
  • Ability to keep the truck area empty of rollstock.
  • Willingness to participate in and perform rollstock inventories.
  • Ability to unload, receive, and store raw materials.
  • Ability to perform assigned inspections and tests and complete accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Following all plant safety, quality, product safety, and other rules and procedures.
  • Helping operators prepare rolls for splices and order changes.
  • Performing other crew member duties during break periods, as needed.
  • Working with other associates to change flute rolls when roll changes are needed.
  • Assisting other crew members with the daily cleaning of the machine.
  • Preparing top sheets for manufacturing process daily.
  • Emptying all the waste containers in the laminator department, including those in the supervisors’ office.
  • Training on and learning all laminator crew positions to be able to perform those jobs during vacation, call-in, and/or other absence situations.
  • Helping clean any and all machine components.
  • Unloading rollstock from rail cars and trucks as needed.
  • Keeping the truck area empty of rollstock.
  • Participating in and performing rollstock inventories.
  • Unloading, receiving, and storing raw materials in the proper areas.
  • Performing assigned inspections and tests and completing accurate records.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by supervision.

Benefits

  • Sign-on Bonus: $500 after 30 days, $500 after 6 months, $500 after 1 year
  • Additional lump sum after 2 years
