The Lamination Technician is responsible for setting up and operating various machines in the lamination department in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires extreme attention to detail and a thorough knowledge of work procedures and component applications. The employee will be responsible for producing quality parts safely and reliably for the next internal customer. The technician sets up and operates a production machine according to established procedures and guidelines, reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams, and adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately and on time. This position typically reports to a supervisor or manager and requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with a potential need for an apprenticeship or formal training and at least 5 years of experience. The role involves performing a variety of complicated tasks and may include leading and directing the work of others, requiring creativity and latitude.
