About The Position

MI Windows and Doors Profiles Plant in Millersburg is seeking a 1st Shift Lamination Operator/Set-Up. This position offers a Monday - Thursday schedule from 6 am to 4 pm, with a starting hourly rate of $21.00. The role involves ensuring quality production through clear communication with laborers, inspecting parts before and after lamination, and performing machine set-ups and changeovers to meet production demands. Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly with the laborer to ensure quality production.
• Inspect all parts before and after lamination.
• Set the machine up and do changeovers to meet the plant’s demands.
• Assist the operator with machine setup.
• Cut scrap, foil and primer pads when needed.
• Load and unload parts from baskets and stack them on the table.
• Feed and cut parts going into and coming out of the machine.
• Follow the general instructions of the operator.
• Loading and unloading of parts from baskets and/or trailers.
• Trim and Wool (bulb) parts (with correct wool/bulb in correct slot).
• Inspect quality before and after lamination.
• Cut scrap when needed.
• Cut and set primer pads, ensures proper coverage for the entire run.
• Set drive and guide wheels.
• Read and understand lamination schedules.
• Count parts.
• Distinguish types and color of foils.
• Change glue on hot melt system when needed.
• Clean and prep glue head.
• Set up slitter and cut foil to correct sizes.
• Able to read and understand lamination prints.
• Work together as a team and communicate with each other.
• Clean up after each run and prepare for the next.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
