About The Position

Atlas Molded Products is seeking a Lamination Associate for the 3rd shift at their Byron Center, MI facility. This role involves operating and assisting with various manufacturing machinery, inspecting and packaging parts, and maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

General understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures.
Must be able to use simple math, count and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
Must be trained and familiar with general safety.
Must be trained and familiar with Quality System Awareness.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment helpful.
Problem solving and critical thinking desired.
Fluent in the English language, both written and spoken, preferred.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

Responsibilities

Report to Manager at shift start for direction for the day.
Inspect and package parts according to specification pages and record required information on in-process sheets.
Cut, bundle, wrap, stack, pack, assemble and/or label materials per specific production instructions.
Operate or assist with machinery such as, but not limited to the laminator, embosser, routers, and wrapping equipment.
Verify equipment set-up throughout the process; operate and power down manufacturing equipment.
Maintain productivity standards and verify all job requirements of the final products with the correct density, material, weight, size, and shape within given quality tolerance to meet specific job requirements.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Knowledge of and ability to operate Pre-breakers / Re-Grinding equipment to recycle EPS.
Perform any other functions and responsibilities as assigned.
Must be trained and familiar with general safety.
Must be trained and familiar with Quality System Awareness.
Must be verified by supervisor and be signed off on procedures needed to fulfill job requirements within 2 months of hire.
Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required.
