About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining daily aquatic weed control on golf courses and residential ponds. The role involves maintaining and installing various aeration systems, maintaining fish feeders, and assisting with nuisance wildlife control and the removal of dead fish and other animals from lakes. Additionally, the technician will maintain SOA littoral plantings and waterscaping, operate aquatic weed harvesting equipment, and provide general small engine maintenance. The role requires punctuality and ensuring work responsibilities are covered during absences.

Requirements

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, write reports, and comprehend procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Knowledge of Database software and internet software.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to use a medical respirator.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Records Check, Background Check and Drug Screen.

Nice To Haves

Ability to operate a boat.
Ability to back up a boat to place it into the lakes.
