About The Position

The Lake Doctors, Inc. is seeking motivated individuals to join their team as Lake Maintenance Field Technicians. This full-time role involves working independently outdoors to treat and maintain lakes, ponds, and other bodies of water for a variety of customers in the Tampa Bay area. The position includes on-the-job training and assistance in preparing for state certification in Aquatics. Ideal candidates enjoy working independently, have good communication and math skills, and take pride in their work.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent (required).
  • Valid, clean driver’s license.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to wear all personal protection equipment needed in various weather conditions.
  • Must be able to operate equipment such as boats, all-terrain vehicles, trucks and other assigned equipment or vehicles.
  • Must be able to work outdoors and use equipment in an environment that may include heavy vegetation, uneven terrain, various species of wildlife and varying weather conditions.
  • Good time management, organizational and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated individual that works well on their own.
  • Comfortable speaking with the customers to discuss their lake and pond needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in lawn service or pest control.
  • Mechanical and/or electrical knowledge.
  • Some college helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Control of aquatic vegetation and algae at established Lake Doctors accounts.
  • Water testing, stocking fish, and other pond and lake services.
  • Maintain communication with customers such as Homeowners Associations, Management Companies and Property Owners.
  • Present a positive and professional image in the community to help grow The Lake Doctors, Inc. business.
  • Maintain customer records within customer service software system.
  • Read and interpret herbicide labels, operating procedures, and safety rules.
  • Work independently and as a strong team player.
  • Speak with customers to discuss their lake and pond needs.
