About The Position

The Campus Rec Student Worker performs operational tasks for Campus Recreation programs and facilities. The role provides customer service, maintains facility and asset cleanliness, helps ensure guests and participants follow policies, and supports implementation of safety measures. The attendant assists with risk management procedures and university policy compliance, answers customer questions and concerns, and communicates issues or complaints to the Campus Rec Student Manager on shift. The role also includes stocking supplies, keeping public spaces and equipment clean and organized, attending required trainings and meetings, and completing other tasks assigned by Campus Recreation full-time staff. Work may include events and operations during evenings, nights, and weekends. The position has no supervisory responsibilities and is performed onsite in two climate-controlled, well-lit fitness facilities with moderate noise levels. The stated schedule is part-time, with availability for a variety of shifts and the ability to work up to 18 hours per week.

Requirements

• Must be a current Liberty University student.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification.
• Ability to work up to 18 hours per week.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, early mornings, afternoons, and late nights.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English.
• Ability to represent Liberty University professionally to business and community customers and associates.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment to solve routine and complex problems.
• Ability to sit or stand in one location for extended periods; hear and speak effectively; stand, walk, and climb stairs; handle materials; reach overhead; kneel or stoop; and regularly lift 40 pounds or less.

Responsibilities

• Support customer safety, facility and asset cleanliness, effective operations, and customer service for Campus Recreation programs and facilities.
• Assist with maintaining risk management procedures and policies and ensuring compliance with university policies.

• Keep facilities and equipment clean and organized by stocking supplies and maintaining public spaces.

• Attend required Campus Recreation trainings and meetings.
• Perform other tasks assigned by Campus Recreation full-time staff to support operations and programming.
