About The Position

The Melt Shop is seeking a Ladle Repair Technician to maintain and repair the refractory linings in iron-melting ladles. This role involves removing damaged lining and applying new refractory materials using various tools and equipment. The technician will collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure production conformity and perform other duties as required. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to work in and around extreme heat required
• Ability to work independently
• Experience operating cranes and/or forklift
• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs consistently
• Perform other heavy manual work in a hot and dirty environment

Nice To Haves

• HS degree/GED or equivalent preferred
• Understanding of refractory materials and tools preferred

• Remove damaged lining and apply new refractory materials using a variety of tools and equipment safely
