Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in ladle crane operation within a steelmaking facility
- Strong knowledge of crane operations
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge and ability to trouble shoot problems
Nice To Haves
- Additional experience preferred
- Desire to share knowledge and skills with less experienced team members
Responsibilities
- Operating a crane to transport liquid steel in a ladle to various locations as part of steelmaking operations
- Maintain and monitor crane equipment to ensure proper and safe operation
- Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of crane equipment
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise during the process
- Accurately recording crane pre-inspections at the beginning of each shift and reporting any causes for concern to appropriate managers / maintenance crews
