About The Position

The Women’s Locker Room & Housekeeping Manager position is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and versatile professional to step into a leadership role that combines operations management, team supervision, creative design, and member hospitality. This position oversees the Women’s Locker Room, Housekeeping, and Laundry teams at Exmoor Country Club, along with the essential operations they support throughout the Clubhouse and the Oak House. This dynamic role calls for a dependable, highly organized, and member-focused individual, with the added opportunity to showcase creativity through floral arrangements and centerpiece design for major holidays and special club events.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years housekeeping experience
  • Should possess effective demonstrated communications skills for staff, management, and member interactions
  • Strong supervisory skills needed to manage diverse staff and varied work demands
  • Should be organized in scheduling, record keeping, and planning for daily and weekly work for staff, as well as for upcoming events
  • Should present professional appearance and project positive attitude
  • Be a strong team member with other Club managers to ensure best member experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours including most weekends and holidays in season.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory, private country club environment experience a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manages, hires and trains staff in each respective area (Women’s Locker Room, Housekeeping, and Laundry) for efficient service
  • Ensures staff is informed of directives for the daily and weekly functions and operations of all areas
  • Is key in managing budgetary guidelines, expenditures, supplies, staff time approvals, and scheduling
  • Ensures invoices are verified, approved, and processed in a timely manner
  • Keeps GM, Assistant GM and/or Chief Maintenance Engineer informed of any repairs needed for locker room, restrooms, laundry, laundry machines, and any other areas recognized in Clubhouse and Oakhouse
  • Ensures cleanliness of Women’s Locker Rooms and restrooms in the Clubhouse and Oakhouse
  • Ensures laundry for Club is done in timely manner and that all functions in area are operating successfully
  • Oversees that the Clubhouse and Oakhouse have a clean and neat appearance for member service.
  • Directs and inspects usual and special cleanings, such as window cleaning, carpet cleaning, floor maintenance
  • Helps to oversee the set-up for all member events
  • Maintains current and correct information and bulletin boards for members in Women’s Locker Room and communicates special information to members as required
  • Participates in weekly manager’s meetings, as well as any special event meetings
  • Oversees the Club’s trophy collection and works with the Golf Pro/Assistant GM for the proper engraving needed at the end of each season
  • Works closely with the Ladies Golf Chairs on décor and centerpieces for special events
  • Oversees and designs centerpieces for all the major club events.
  • Additional oversight of the internal team for holiday décor in the month of December.
