About The Position

Saint Luke's East Hospital is looking for a Lactation Specialist to join the dynamic team. The Lactation Specialist serves as a role model, consultant, change agent, instructor, and facilitator in assessing learning needs and in planning, implementing, and evaluating the needs of the nursing mother and of the nursing staff related to lactation and breastfeeding. This role represents Lactation Services at Saint Luke's in providing education to the community as requested. The position promotes and supports the professional practice environment, maximum performance, and quality patient care.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Intl Board Certified Lactation Consult - International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners
• Associate Degree
