About The Position

As a Lactation Consultant-Cert, you will provide lactation care and instruction to breastfeeding mothers and infants. You will serve as a clinical resource, educator, and mentor, supporting families in achieving their breastfeeding goals and promoting maternal and infant health. The role is based at the Rochester campus. The listed schedule is 11:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.; the position is contingent (PRN).

Requirements

• Certification as a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC or equivalent).

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a clinical lactation support role.
• Familiarity with breastfeeding education and resource development.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients' lactation goals and issues.
• Instruct and demonstrate proper breastfeeding techniques, emphasizing their importance.
• Identify the need for standard patient teaching plans and assist in their development.
• Act as a liaison to staff and physicians to address breastfeeding-related needs.
• Contribute to the development of data tools to monitor and improve lactation outcomes.
