About The Position

Responsible for all lactation related services, programs and education and services as a resource for lactation counseling and support to the community. Assists in the provision of care to patients of all age groups.

Requirements

2 Year/ Associates Degree Nursing required for BSMH, BSN preferred
For Roper St Francis Healthcare BSN required
Must possess current licensure as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.
Must possess IBCLC Certificate.
ILBC certification required.
Three to five years nursing experience, specifically in obstetrics and/or infant development required.
Work requires excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, to communicate effectively with mothers and a variety of professional personnel.

Nice To Haves

Experience with NICU patients preferred.
Covers NICU and OB but will flex throughout house to provide lactation support as needed.

Responsibilities

Conducts educational programs, education, and services for lactation counseling and support to the community and patients/families.
Responds timely to inquiries for requested program, education, and services for the community.
Assists in creation of resource materials to be used for programs, education, and services for lactation counseling and support to the community and patients/families.
