About The Position
Responsible for planning, coordination of patient, family and staff education related to breastfeeding for PMH. The lactation consultant assesses and teaches patients with a variety of breastfeeding conditions. Actively promotes breastfeeding and assists mothers in reaching their goals for breastfeeding. The work affects the patient and their families and the overall effectiveness of the program. Develop new procedures to enhance the service provided.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- WA State RN licensure.
- BLS required
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year RN Lactation Consultant experience.
- NRP preferred
- BLC Board of Lactation Consultant
