About The Position
This position involves providing breast-feeding patient consultations, including postpartum follow-up and support for NICU families. The role also includes managing breast-feeding statistics, educating healthcare professionals and consumers, co-facilitating breast-feeding educator groups, maintaining breast-feeding policies and teaching plans, and acting as a liaison for community breast-feeding initiatives. The consultant will also participate on the Pitt County Breast-feeding Advisory Council (PCBAC).
Requirements
- Nursing degree required (ADN/BSN).
- Registered Nurse Licensure required.
Nice To Haves
- International Board of Certified Lactation Consultant preferred.
