About The Position

At Coulson Aviation, we’re proud to provide skilled employment opportunities in Port Alberni while supporting wildfire response operations around the world. From our headquarters on Vancouver Island, our team helps protect communities through industry-leading aerial firefighting operations across Canada, the United States, Australia, and Chile. We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Labourer to join our team in Port Alberni, BC. This hands-on full-time position will support a variety of maintenance, construction, and outdoor projects across company properties.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s licence.
• The ability to safely lift and carry at least 30 lbs.
• The physical ability to stand, walk, carry materials, bend, and climb stairs throughout the workday.
• Familiarity with the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and motorized equipment.
• The ability to stay organized and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• The ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience or certification is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general maintenance, construction, and outdoor projects.
• Clean equipment, facilities, company property, and other assigned work areas.
• Pick up and deliver parts, materials, equipment, and other items as required.
• Organize project areas, tools, equipment, and materials to support safe and efficient work.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and motorized equipment within your level of training and authorization.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas to help prevent accidents and injuries.
• Follow company policies and safety procedures and promptly report hazards, incidents, or concerns.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
