About The Position
Finning Canada, part of the world’s largest Caterpillar dealer, is seeking a Labourer for its Fort McKay shop facility. This permanent position involves supporting efficient shop operations by performing low-complexity tasks that contribute directly to workplace organization, safety, and process flow, in line with Finning standards. The role is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined.
Requirements
- Completion of grade 12
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn standardized work
- Self-starter able to follow directions, work well with others and has the motivation necessary to contribute positively to a team environment
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work under minimal supervision
- Physical requirement ability to lift/move up to 40 Ibs
- Valid Driver's License with a successful recent driver abstract
- Must be minimum 21 years of age due to safety requirements
- Required to become a member of the Union associated with this position
Nice To Haves
- Experience with shop equipment
Responsibilities
- Moving equipment in and out of the shop
- Aid mechanics with the removal and installation of guards
- Washing and detailing of equipment
- General clean up of shop, yard and machines
- Other General Duties as required
