Our diverse and highly skilled team brings technical expertise and leadership to every stage of project delivery. We are seeking local candidates in the East Kootenays BC to join our heavy civil construction team on a day and night shift, non-camp basis. Our projects are fast-paced, physically demanding, and require individuals capable of performing 12 hour shifts with consistency and professionalism. The ideal candidate takes direction effectively while demonstrating the ability to work independently. Civil construction labour experience is considered a strong asset. Reliable personal transportation to site or a designated marshalling point is required.

Requirements

• Previous heavy civil construction labour experience is considered a strong asset
• Must be physically fit and capable of performing 12 hour shifts both day and night, with 14/7 rotations
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team while maintaining the capacity to work independently when required
• Demonstrated willingness to complete and perform tasks as instructed on an as-needed basis
• Candidates must supply their own personal PPE including a hard hat, safety boots, and high-visibility vest; all additional PPE will be provided.
• Must be available for the full project duration of August to September 2026, with potential opportunities for continued employment thereafter
• Local candidates from the Sparwood and Elkford area are strongly encouraged to apply

Nice To Haves

• Valid WorkSafeBC Advanced First Aid certificate (formerly OFA Level 3) or Intermediate (formerly OFA Level 2) with Transportation Endorsement is preferred and considered a strong asset

Responsibilities

• Complete all assigned labour duties as instructed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to take on tasks as project needs evolve
• Fuel equipment and generators in accordance with site safety protocols
• Execute concrete repairs and perform work on concrete slopes as directed
• Perform general site maintenance, housekeeping, and cleanup to ensure a safe and organized work environment
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and fellow crew members to ensure smooth daily operations
• Collaborate as a productive team member while maintaining the ability to work independently when required
