About The Position
Ledcor Highways Ltd. is seeking year-round Labourers to join their guard rail crew and help keep Alberta’s highways safe. This is a stable, long-term career opportunity contributing to the local community, with a focus on local applicants as no camp or LOA is provided. The role requires flexibility due to weather patterns, potentially involving shift work, on-call duties, and night shifts. A pay rate of $21/hr is offered, with increases based on experience, and a night shift premium of $3/hr.
Requirements
- Successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Physically able to perform demanding outdoor tasks and comfortable working at heights
- Strong knowledge and use of hand and power tools
- Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license
- Provide a 3-year driver’s abstract
Nice To Haves
- ESC Elevated work platform ticket is an asset but not required
Responsibilities
- Perform various highway maintenance tasks
- Repair and installation of guard rails and highway signs using various hand tools including post ponders, tampers, augers, drills, ladders and other elevated work platforms
- Assist with traffic control procedures
- Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Perform other road maintenance duties as required
- Work outside in all weather conditions
