Laborer
About The Position
The Cumberland River Quarry in Salem, Kentucky is currently recruiting for a Laborer. This role requires a general knowledge of the Scalping Plant and Wash Plant, including the ability to inspect the plant and recognize malfunctions before startup and during operation. The Laborer must demonstrate competency with all safety standards and operating procedures for each area. A good attendance record, a positive attitude, and responsibility for minimal property damage are essential. All incidents will be subject to management review. Job duties must be completed to the satisfaction of the supervisor.
Requirements
- Ability and desire to work 12-hour shifts.
- Willingness and flexibility to work weekend or overtime as needed.
- Ability to do manual labor including lifting items as heavy as 50 pounds.
- Ability and desire to work during inclement conditions including extreme heat and cold.
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and perform repetitive bending and stooping when required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with all personnel at the Quarry.
- Motivated and a self-starter.
- Willingness to work night shift.
- General knowledge of Scalping Plant and Wash Plant.
- Good attendance record.
- Good attitude towards job.
- Responsible for minimal to no property damage incidents.
Responsibilities
- Signed off on both 50 and 100 ton Haul Trucks.
- Signed off on Water Truck.
- Signed off on Skid Steer, Back Hoe and Man Lift.
- Inspect plant and recognize malfunctions before startup and during operation.
- Show competency with all safety standards and operating procedures for each area.
- Complete job duties to the satisfaction of their supervisor.
