About The Position

As a General Laborer, you will support a range of operations in the civil construction industry by performing physical tasks in a dynamic work environment. The role helps maintain efficient and safe operations, assists skilled tradespeople, and keeps work sites organized and compliant with safety standards.

The work is in person and outdoors in all weather conditions. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks such as lifting and moving materials, using tools and ladders, and working in varying temperatures.

Requirements

• Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions.
• Basic understanding of safety practices in industrial environments.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as directed.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and ladders.
• Ability to work in varying temperature ranges indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to read, speak, and hear clearly.
• Ability to see well enough to read and interpret reports, diagrams, and manuals, and operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, or poles.
• Ability to bend, twist, kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and routinely move at least 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in oilfield work or a similar labor-intensive role is an asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain worksites by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and ensuring safe access to work areas.
• Load, unload, transport, store, and organize materials and equipment at job sites.
• Assist skilled workers, including equipment operators, electricians, and insulators, by providing tools, materials, and general support.
• Construct support frames, including light pole or concrete piers, rebar cages, and other structures.
• Assist equipment operators with excavation, trenching, backfilling, and leveling or final elevation operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and tools to help keep them in safe working condition.
• Follow safety regulations and protocols, participate in safety meetings, and report hazards or incidents to supervisors.
• Perform general labor, including digging, lifting, carrying, and assisting with equipment assembly and disassembly.
