Responsible for the year-round maintenance of county highways. This includes tasks such as plowing snow, mowing grass, installing and maintaining culvert pipes, oiling and chipping county highways, working on ditches and drainage projects, hauling dirt and rock, trimming trees and spraying vegetation, striping roadways, operating and working on Highway Department equipment, and flagging traffic. The position also involves managing day-to-day tasks assigned by supervisors and is subject to random drug testing as a CDL requirement.
