Job Summary Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Laborer based out of our Bound Brook Asphalt site to support a positive safety culture in an aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards in our East Region. This role is responsible for performing general labor tasks including shoveling, raking and moving materials as needed.

Requirements

Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
Positive, Team-based attitude
The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Responsibilities

Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
Perform general labor tasks including shoveling, raking. And moving materials as needed
Participate in routine maintenance, cleaning, washing of the facility and equipment
Operate small equipment as needed such as a skid steer or manlift
Comply with all industry safety rules, policies, procedures and applicable government regulations
Perform daily workplace inspections and reports deficiencies immediately to supervisor
Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned
