About The Position

Thompson Pipe Group is seeking General Laborers to assist with assigned responsibilities such as finishing, patching, building cages, and/or operating equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with Precast Concrete Pipe Manufacturing experience. Requirements

Experience working in a construction or outside environment is highly preferred.
Must be able to follow instructions both verbally and in writing.
Ability to use hand tools.
1 -2 years-Construction Experience
1-2 Years- Landscaping Experience
Pouring and finishing concrete in forms
Teamwork environment
36-ton Forklift Operator- load and unload concrete pipe from flatbed trucks
Must have a safety-first attitude

Nice To Haves

1-2 Years- Manufacturing Precast Concrete(Preferred)
Concrete Finishing: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Lifts and carries materials and tools throughout work areas using appropriate equipment.
Completing final finish on a poured concrete product, using power tools and hand tools.
Use hand tools such as the hammer, sledgehammer, wrench, pliers to accomplish daily tasks.
Assist with the install of plates, rebar, and wire, insulation, lifters, reveals, and anchors.
Assist with tying rebar, grinding, buffing.
Taping and cutting strand, cleaning Burks, bagging in blackouts, finish exposed sides.
Patch Concrete Pipes- blending structural concrete, working with many different raw materials.
Finish product in an attractive manner free of cracks and imperfections.
Removing rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces, and patches holes with fresh concrete.
May be required to use a pressure washer and/or sandblasting equipment.
Maintains neat and orderly work areas at all times.
Cleaning Yard and picking up trash.
Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of Safety Team/ Supervisor.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.
Reports any problems or discrepancies to management.
Perform pre-operation inspections on an assigned forklift to ensure it is in safe operating condition, report at once any safety concerns or operational issues with the forklift.
Must work within the attendance policy guidelines.
Other duties may be assigned.
